Thoughts on material for sensitive skin razors?

I’ve read that stainless steel and titanium are ideal for sensitive skin because they’re biocompatible. Does anyone have experience with these materials or notice a difference in irritation levels?

I switched to a titanium razor last year and noticed a significant drop in irritation compared to my old stainless steel one. The lighter weight made it easier to control, especially on tricky spots like my neck. That said, shaving technique played a bigger role—switching to a shallower blade angle was a game-changer for my sensitive skin.

Material definitely plays a role, but I’d also suggest considering copper razors—they’re biocompatible like titanium and stainless steel but often overlooked. I’ve found copper razors to have a unique balance of weight and maneuverability, which helps with precision. Pairing it with a closed-comb head has been a win for my sensitive skin. Experimenting with different blade brands can also make a noticeable difference.
