Keeping Your Safety Razor in Top Shape

Cleaning my safety razor has become part of my routine, but I’m curious about deep cleaning methods. I’ve used vinegar and baking soda, but some recommend Barkeepers Friend for rust. What’s worked best for you?

YO!! DEEP CLEANING IS THE BOMB, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO SAFETY RAZORS!!! I’ve found that mixing a diluted vinegar solution with a bit of baking soda works wonders for general buildup, but for RUST, Barkeepers Friend is like THE HOLY GRAIL!!! Just scrub lightly with a soft brush, and it’s like NEW AGAIN, LOL!!! Also, don’t forget to dry it THOROUGHLY after—rust is sneaky like that!!!

FOR SURE!! Barkeepers Friend is LEGIT for rust, but don’t sleep on lubing the threads with Vaseline or Teflon tape to keep things SMOOTH like BUTTER!!! Deep cleaning once a year is KEY, especially if you’re in a hard water zone—those mineral deposits can be a NIGHTMARE, lol!!! Also, storing it bone dry is CRUCIAL unless you wanna fight rust FOREVER!!! mic drop
